Plexus President and Founder Alec Clark was recognized by AZ Big Media as Philanthropic Business Leader of the Year as part of the 2026 Champions of Change Awards. This honor underscores Clark’s leadership in transforming Plexus into one of the state’s leading philanthropic companies with an enduring corporate commitment to alleviate global food insecurity.
“Great companies are built with heart, driven by committed individuals who challenge, support, and inspire each other every day,” said CEO and Founder, Tarl Robinson. “This award honors Clark’s vision, which helped shape the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives now deeply embedded in the Plexus culture.”
Founded in 2008, Plexus started its gut health journey with the clinically-tested and United States patented, Slim Microbiome Activating supplement – also known as the “pink drink.” Plexus now offers over 30 products, many which are recognized as award-winning, with almost 300 Arizona-based employees and an NSF-certified in-house lab. Under Clark’s philanthropic leadership, each Plexus employee is given 16 paid volunteer hours a year to contribute to the community with structured CSR programs like food drives, monthly giveback campaigns, and more.
