MONAT Gratitude Foundation, the philanthropic entity of MONAT Global Corp (MONAT), held its 8th annual Gratitude Week. The activities during the week included a wide range of charitable activities around the globe to help children and others in need.
As it does every year, Gratitude Week coincides with the birthday of MONAT Global Chairman and Co-Founder Luis Urdaneta, who asks each year that his special day be spent in service to others around the world. It is a spirited celebration that fulfills his mission to uplift and transform lives, and has become a powerful tradition, inspiring members of the MONAT global family to take action and make a mark in their local communities.
More than 5,000 MONAT changemakers from 1,200 cities and eight countries participated in the event’s 2023 activities:
- 3,335 performed acts of kindness for friends or strangers
- 2,975 donated goods to a local shelter or charity
- 1,955 contributed to a charitable organization
- 1,845 volunteered in their community
“Sr. Luis has an unwavering passion for fostering gratitude and unleashing positive change as the very heartbeat of our community,” said Ray Urdaneta, CEO and Co-Founder of MONAT. “The impact of Gratitude Week grows annually. The value represented by this year’s volunteer time—if each participant volunteered for just one hour—is more than $58,000!”
“In today’s world, the need for kindness and gratitude has never been more pressing,” said Lu Urdaneta, CEO of MONAT Gratitude. “Acts of compassion and gestures of thankfulness are the keys to illuminating the path forward. Together, we want to create a movement of kindness, generosity and giving.”
