Herbalife’s 2020 Net Sales a Record in Its History: $5.5 Billion

Company’s full year 2020 sales of $5.5 billion was a 13.6% increase compared to full year 2019. And this represented the largest annual net sales result in Herbalife’s history. Also, three of its six regions, Asia Pacific, EMEA, and North America set annual net sales records.

Herbalife reported fourth quarter net sales of $1.4 billion, up 5.6% compared to the fourth quarter of 2019. This was also record: The largest fourth quarter net sales result in its history.

Commenting on the results, John Agwunobi, Chairman and CEO of Herbalife  said, “In 2020, we saw our best year ever with record net sales as our distributors met the global demand for better nutrition.”

Herbalife announced its expectation for 2021 as 6.0% to 14.0% sales growth.

On June 9, 2017, The Body Shop’s owner L’Oreal announced it had received an offer from Natura Cosméticos to acquire The Body Shop. The proposed transaction would value The Body Shop at EUR 1.0 billion.

This acquisition was completed in September in the same year and The Body Shop joined the Natura group.

The Body Shop, the iconic brand focusing on innovative, nature-inspired products, was founded in 1976 by Anita Roddick in England. It was acquired by L’Oreal in 2006.

In 2020, The Body Shop increased its revenue by 32% within the Natura group. Its 2021 revenue increase was 9%.
