Amway Donates EUR 1 Million to Charities and Organizations in Europe

Amway distributors, customers and employees came together to make “Together We Can” campaign a success raising EUR 500.000 through the sales of face masks. Amway then, matched the profits from each pack of disposable face masks bringing the total donation to EUR 1 million. 

Melodie Nakhle, Managing Director of Europe, Southern Africa, Australia and New Zealand, said, “At Amway, we believe in going beyond the traditional ways of doing business to help people live better lives.”

“We accomplish global results by empowering people to live a healthier life. In keeping with our values, we encourage Amway distributors and our employees to support charities and organizations that mirror their passions and impact their local communities in a powerful way,” explains Nakhle.

The EUR 1 million will be donated to local charities and organizations, such as Red Cross and Civil Protection, to help those in need throughout Europe.

The “Together We Can” campaign started in 2020 to support COVID-19 relief efforts. This EUR 1 million donation continues Amway’s commitment to supporting people in need across Europe.

On June 9, 2017, The Body Shop’s owner L’Oreal announced it had received an offer from Natura Cosméticos to acquire The Body Shop. The proposed transaction would value The Body Shop at EUR 1.0 billion.

This acquisition was completed in September in the same year and The Body Shop joined the Natura group.

The Body Shop, the iconic brand focusing on innovative, nature-inspired products, was founded in 1976 by Anita Roddick in England. It was acquired by L’Oreal in 2006.

In 2020, The Body Shop increased its revenue by 32% within the Natura group. Its 2021 revenue increase was 9%.
