Few could have predicted the event that occurred in December 2015: Avon’s U.S. and Canada companies were split off from the main body.

Cerberus, a New York-based private investment firm paid a total of $605 million to buy Avon North America. This new unit was branded as “New Avon” and Avon’s international headquarters moved from New York to London, UK.

In 2019, Cerberus sold New Avon to LG Household & Health Care, one of Korea’s leading companies, for $125 million. Two years later in 2021, the company changed its name to “The Avon Company”.
