Seldia Updates Codes of Conduct for Direct Selling

July 5, 2021 Leave a Comment

Seldia
Seldia (The European Direct Selling Association) announces its General Assembly adopted a new version of the European Codes of Conduct for Direct Selling, and a Guide on disclosure and recognisability of the commercial nature of direct selling social media content.

  • Member direct selling associations will have until 31 December 2021 to transpose the new codes provisions locally.
  • Companies will have until 30 June 2022 to reflect the European and national changes in their material and practice.

Seldia says the National Direct Selling Associations (DSAs) may use and publish the ‘European Direct Selling Code of Conduct towards Consumers’ and the ‘European Direct Selling Code of Conduct towards Direct Sellers, between Direct Sellers and between Companies’ separately if required. DSAs will also be able to combine the two codes and use them as a single text.

The Guide aims to assist Seldia members in the implementation of the 2021 Codes.

Seldia was founded in 1968 to be the voice of the European Direct Selling sector. It represents 28 member associations, 16 companies, and 9 service providers.
