Amway announced the success of its third annual Amway Cares volunteer event.
This events is a cornerstone of “Amway Service Week”, and it was held on August 6 and 8, with more than 800 Amway employees giving more than 5,000 volunteer hours to serve 28 non-profit organizations.
Over these two days, volunteering employees supported 41 projects including landscaping, food reclamation, painting, farm work, bed building and more.
Volunteers also rallied to build a community playground, an annual initiative led by Amway for the past 18 years. Amway partnered with Sinclair Recreation, a company dedicated to creating play and fitness spaces that positively impact health and wellness and strengthen community.
“Community building is paramount to our health and wellbeing mission,” said Will Templeton, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. “Amway Cares: Week of Service exemplifies our commitment to supporting communities where our employees and Amway Business Owners work and play.”
Amway teams around the world compound the company’s volunteer engagement, with more than 25,000 hours invested by employees and Amway Business Owners globally so far in 2024.
“This summer, and in every season, hundreds more Amway volunteers will use their time and talents to serve their communities,” added Templeton. “It’s our privilege to support the communities where we do business, and we’re proud to do it together, with purpose.”
