A new seven-figure investment from Amway will expand the company’s longstanding local support of the programs and mission of the YMCA, helping build stronger, healthier communities across the country.
Amway and YMCA of the USA (Y-USA) leaders announced the $1.2 million dollar gift over the next three years to boost the Y’s anti-hunger initiatives. This contribution expands on collaboration between Amway and the Y, which began 30 years ago. Over that time, Amway’s support has played a key role in advancing the Y’s mission in West Michigan. This new contribution marks a recommitment of valuable assistance from Amway.
The impact of the supportive relationship between Amway and the YMCA extends far beyond financial contributions. Amway has actively engaged with local Y branches, volunteering time and expertise to strengthen various programs and initiatives from youth development to providing nutritional basics for families in need.

Through more than 4.5 million volunteer hours over the last 20 years, Amway has supported more than 14.5 million people. Initially, Amway’s new investment in the Y will expand this impact by contributing toward after-school nutrition programs. The Y’s vast network of 2,650 locations serve more than 7 million adults and 4 million children across the United States.
