The Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA Canada) announced that Direct Sellers Day 2025 will be celebrated virtually on Wednesday, September 17, spotlighting the resilience, achievements, and personal journeys of Canada’s Independent Sales Consultants (ISCs).
This year’s campaign builds on the success of last year’s theme, celebrating the empowerment that direct selling offers, from owning and growing a business, to setting your own schedule, to achieving personal and professional goals.
“Direct Sellers Day is a chance to shine a spotlight on the incredible contributions of Canada’s independent sales consultants,” said Peter Maddox, President of DSA Canada. “It’s about celebrating their entrepreneurial spirit while reaffirming our industry’s commitment to ethical business practices that protect and empower both consumers and sellers.”
Celebrating Industry Excellence with the ISC Awards
As part of the virtual celebration, DSA Canada will present the 2025 ISC Awards, recognizing independent sales consultants who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, community impact, and commitment to the values of the direct selling industry. These awards highlight the human stories behind the statistics, showcasing the people who inspire their peers and elevate the profession.
National ISC Survey Launches September 15
Leading up to Direct Sellers Day, DSA Canada will also launch its national ISC survey on September 15, 2025. This important research initiative will gather fresh insights from independent sales consultants across the country, helping DSA Canada and its members better understand the motivations, challenges, and opportunities in the field. The results will inform national awareness campaigns and advocacy efforts.
Direct Selling’s Impact in Canada
Direct selling remains a vital part of the Canadian economy, contributing over $1.4 billion annually in national and local taxes. The industry supports approximately 1.1 million ISCs in communities nationwide, offering personal customer service, building trusted relationships, and strengthening local economies.
Beyond business, the direct selling community is deeply committed to giving back, with 95% of consultants contributing to Canadian charities each year. DSA Canada’s more than 60 member companies, including leading brands such as Avon, Mary Kay, Shaklee, Pampered Chef, Arbonne, Cutco, and USANA, have a combined total annual economic impact of over $8.7 billion in Canada.
Get Involved: Social Media Toolkit Now Available
To support participation, DSA Canada has launched its Direct Sellers Day 2025 Social Media Toolkit, available in English and French. The toolkit includes ready-to-use graphics, social posts, hashtag guidelines, and engagement ideas, making it easy for member companies, ISCs, industry partners and supporters to get involved.
