This year Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA Canada) celebrates its 70th anniversary.
Since its inception in 1954, DSA Canada has been at the forefront of establishing ethical standards and ensuring consumer protection, enhancing the credibility and stability of the direct selling industry. The organization’s commitment to advocacy and member support has shaped the landscape of direct selling in Canada and has also helped countless individuals achieve their entrepreneurial ambitions.
“Over the past seven decades, DSA Canada has stood as the voice of the direct selling industry. We are proud to celebrate this landmark anniversary and reflect on the profound impact our association has had on the success of our member companies,” said Peter Maddox, President of DSA Canada.
DSA Canada is made up of more than 60 direct selling and supplier companies, including such leading retail brands as Avon, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Arbonne, Cutco and USANA. Together, the industry generates over $8.7 billion total annual economic impact in Canada and supports approximately 1.1 million independent sales consultants.
The organization has been instrumental in promoting the interests of direct sellers by providing robust advocacy, education, and support. This has helped to shape the industry’s regulatory landscape, ensuring that direct sellers operate in a marketplace that values fairness and consumer protection.
Through the remainder of 2024, DSA Canada will host initiatives designed to honour this significant milestone, engage members new and old, and look forward to the future of direct selling in Canada. These initiatives include webinars, member events, and digital campaigns that highlight the industry’s contributions and achievements, and the success stories and growth of the direct selling community.
