Every year, Canada Direct Sellers Association‘s Scholarship Program awards a total of $16,000 to eligible post-secondary students with ties to the direct selling industry. The aim is to help them advance their post-secondary education.
The Scholarship Program helps to raise awareness of the direct selling business model both with students and academia. This year’s renewed Scholarship Program consisted of four $4,000 scholarships. Nominations were open to Canadian students in all years of post-secondary study. Nominees are children or grandchildren of active independent sales consultants of DSA Canada’s member companies, active direct sellers themselves or children of DSA Canada member companies’ employees.
DSA Canada announced the four recipients of the 2022 Academic Scholarships as below:
- Aadam Qureshi, University of Toronto, Arbonne International Canada
- Cristina Delmaestro, Simon Fraser University, Mary Kay Cosmetics
- Milana Abbruscato, University of Guelph, The Avon Company Canada Limited
- Shawna Williams, University of Saskatchewan, Arbonne International Canada
